First up, I have finally added up an about page which will probably change and mutate over time but there is something up now.

Next, some new custom emoties have been uploaded, nothing overly fancy. ‘Spinny Spinny’ is simple enough and does exactly what it says on the tin. I’ve noticed how even a simple would be meaningless emotie can find a place among forum posts. ‘I Got It!’ is a silly emotie catching a heavy object, its use in conversations I’m not sure how it could apply but people always find a way to use it. Also I have discovered I haven’t put one up that I have previously done, ‘Not So Lucky’, you think everything is starting to go right and then something smacks you in the face.

Last, it has been brought to my attention a resolution that I should probably support for my desktop wallpaper, 1024×600 that is common among netbooks… trouble is it’s not one of the standard aspect rations! I am working on it however so hang tight

I have been busy, painfully tackling useless plugins but now the dust is starting to settle and I can now issue this post to bring to the attention to those that care that ‘The Emoties’ now have a new spanking home. Right here

There may still be other lose bits that need tying up but I’m working on it, don’t let that put you off having a look over.

In other stuff, I am now working to completely dissolve what was once the old site.

Just finished upgrading to 2.7 now and had a rearrangement of the ads on display, remember, just a small donation a little further down the page will help to remove them again

Please excuse any strange going ons you might see around the site, I’m fiddling with stuff as I usually do.

First, appologies for the ads but unfortunately this site costs me money, the donate button is right there on the left, who knows, it might persuade me to switch back to the ad free theme.

It all started back in Feburary-March, I embarked on a computer upgrade, first motherboard blow up on me (not quite litterally) when I rest the machine and the replacement would seem to give me nothing but headaches! Well come a few days ago, after a particular troublesome phase, the PSU tried to set fire to the house. After total shut down of operations it turns out the PSU is not rated to what I thought it was and has probably been underpowered all this time causing all these problems I have been having… oops!

So in the mean time I have had to fall back to the laptop, I’ll get done what I can while the main workstation is out of action… was right in the middle of a few vids as well.

I still think there are some real god awfull themes kicking about for wordpress, and there is a strange trend for the three coloumn format, the main content squished up on the far left with the other two navigational columns taking up way more space than is needed to the right side… NOOOOOOOOO!! IT’S WORNG!!!!!!!

But anyhow, I’ve discovered I was using a way out of date version of the theme for 4tfoi, so I’ve now correted that I have the WP ‘widgets’ function avaliable to play about with and is already looking better. Will have to see what other widgets are avaliable. Brings me to the theme for this part of the site, I’m really tempted to apply the same theme to this part but I don’t really want them looking the same, yet it’s the only theme I’ve found that ticks the boxes of what I am after (ie. not width restricted and does 3 columns PROPERLY!) and what I like.  Also this theme is not widget aware so will have to change at some point.

 Ho Hum.

Ooooook, finally got the entry page sorted out and pointing over to this main section, now I just need to create a new static page and start transfering over the various things… in the mean time I will provide a link over to the old site if you have been about here before and looking for something in particular.

In other stuff I am startinmg to get the hang of all this video capture stuff, picked up a cheap ATI all in wonder card, got it all set up and been getting to grips with various software packages and trying out various things. My target is youtube so don’t need anything special at the moment. Sort of making this bit up as I go along
