I have figured it all out, ultimately I can’t walk away from everything but at the same time I am putting myself under way too much pressure to do way too much. At the end of the day, I am going to sort the computer out for once and for all, trouble is it may have been all my fault to start off with. For a time I was running the system, unknown to myself however, on an underpowered PSU.

The PSU eventually went pop but during the operation of the system I believe it has damaged the motherboard and doing other weird things. Should have realised really but there was no real solid tell tale signs that it was the problem considering at one point I had it running solid for 3 whole days. All this time I had been rubbishing the mobo, should had remembered my own little rule of a problem is not always what it seems to be, until I had to pick up a new PSU I would get regular BSoDs.

Soooo a new mobo will be needed and might as well spruce up the CPU at the same time a bit however I’m rescaling operations when everything is all sorted out or just simply try not to let everything get on top of me. Well no doubt keep all posted here… need to write more on the 5800 adventures, going to start doing more actual ‘blogging’ on here.

This month has been a bit of a strange one, like everything suddenly decides it all wants to be against me, first the computer goes, the cats misbehave, I walk away without pulling the money out of the cash machine, the 360 red rings and plentifull in repairs to the car, it has indeed been a strange month. I think the important thing however is to not give in and keep battling on no matter how trying these things seem to be and in order to try and readdress a balance in the great scheme of things I have started a cleansing of the soul.

Those who know me know the rough ins and outs of my history, or more specificly, the complete bitches I have been associated with and for some strange reason I have elements of these periods still hanging about, passwords, items and things of a more personal nature. Overall it’s not really fair on the wonderful lady that is now in my life and it is not doing the soul any good.

So far, I have started changing passwords, that’s going to be an ongoing process for a bit as I have passwords everywhere, deleted images and a ton of emails off the computer and sold on some various gift items. Only a couple of days ago however was a major event, old love letters and cards associated with these people, all up in smoke, I only wish I took photos of it, the stuff before, during burning and the chard remains but overall it has been a major step in the quest of moving forward and bringing balance back to the soul. My lady stood by me as the evil items burnt out of my life for good and that is the main thing, although I had trouble getting it started to start with we were starting to think the evil was repelling back the flames!

There is another thing that has been needing cleansing however, a moment of complete stupidness that has impacted finances in a bit of a twonky mannor. The iPod touch’s have now been sold on, how could I have been so stupid? You see, now we have a laptop and that sees so much more use than the 2 iPods put together, if I had just listened to my wonderful lady and had a good discussion about the whole thing, some problems could have been so avoided, but no, ‘I want one and you can have one too’… So they have been sold to help balance finances and for some other further cleansing.

They got quite boring if I was to be honest, at the end of the day it is simply a glorified media player, the whole app store thing just got quite tedious trying to sort through them all finding good useful ones. Don’t get me wrong though, there are some good ones out there. When I decided to sell mine my lady wanted to go back with a little Creative Zen mp3 player and it really does say something when she prefers that over the ever so fancy iPod Touch.

It’s such a dinky little thing.

I remembered though however when I got past all the glitz as to why I have been avoiding Apple products, the arrogance of Apple and the arrogance of the Apple fanboys. ‘Oh I have a Mac, I’m superior to all you’. Well, I have used both systems and they are both as bad as each other, only one is more expensive, let’s not forget, a Mac today is only a glorified intel PC.

There was one thing that really annoyed me with the iPod, it was only a simple little thing but in my opinion it’s the little things that speak the loudest. In iTunes you download podcasts, you transfer them over to the iPod to listen to, the iPod puts a little blue dot next to the ones you haven’t listened to yet and removes the blue dot when you have. I got the Touch when it was at firmware 1.1.4 and assuming you have synced for a couple of days these blue dots would reappear… ok, a little issue. Several firmware upgrades later, 2.1, and it still has the same problem with the addition that it can remember half listened to podcasts just fine. Have this been listened to, yes or no? How fecking hard can it be? That amongst the regular app crashes, no Apple, just because an app just quits without reason still means it crashed, at least put a little error message there saying so.

While I’m on this rant now… if OSX is oooooooo so brilliant, why the hell is it creating all these unwanted hidden files on my USB stick? Eh?

It all started back in Feburary-March, I embarked on a computer upgrade, first motherboard blow up on me (not quite litterally) when I rest the machine and the replacement would seem to give me nothing but headaches! Well come a few days ago, after a particular troublesome phase, the PSU tried to set fire to the house. After total shut down of operations it turns out the PSU is not rated to what I thought it was and has probably been underpowered all this time causing all these problems I have been having… oops!

So in the mean time I have had to fall back to the laptop, I’ll get done what I can while the main workstation is out of action… was right in the middle of a few vids as well.

Been fiddling again! Ok, now I’m starting to get things to a more likable state although I’m still going to have to have some good bit of fiddling about, I feel like I’m missing a tune with this WordPress at the moment. Changed the theme to the same one as I use over at 4tfoi although I’ve kept the style on the default setting to set it apart a bit and actually works quite well with the lettering.

Looking at the introduction of a new project, it’s something I’ve looked and played a bit with before but want to work more proper with it, just a fun thing mostly, custom MSN emoties and proper ones, not the rubbish that tends to infect all teenage girls! Oh, and not to be confused with my Emoties comic strip, I’m still to sort all that out!

Planned out my next computer upgrade so that’s going to be full of fun when I am able to do it given all the other money considerations I have at the moment, oh that leads me nicely to… After a bit of fiddling about with some plugin code I’ve added a donation button too, if you enjoy the site, help keep it ad free!

No, my head is not quite with it yet, the woman who was building up my motivation ripped it all away from me again, but less said about that the better.

During the christmas break however I hope to start getting things rolling again, gonna have plenty of time to do things while not at work so I have to make the most of it, start sorting this site out good and proper, get a proper backlog going for 4tfoi, some little game related vids of my own, have a few ideas in mind… and who knows what else.

Need to start ebaying stuff again come the new year and not just odd things, anything and everything I can spare. My archive drive would seem to have a bit of problem on the far end of the platters, basically it can’t read from these areas producing errors and now that it is x percentage full it’s started to hit these areas… not good considering this is the drive I store my work and other stuff I want to keep. So I’ve ordered an external drive to move all the media stuff off the archive drive to, effectively making that drive a media drive, a plan I’ve had for a while but with this I’m having to push ahead with it now. In theory it should buy me time untill I build a fresh brand new system.

Oh, pulled myself from fallen sword too, just gonna take too much of my time that thing. 

Ho hum…

Yup, not upto a huge amount at the mo in relation to project stuff etc. which should all change in time. Got some ideas for some misc gaming related vids that I need to have a go of, got everything (mostly) set up to how I am wanting it all set up which should help, still some other things to explore. Added the click here after missing it out on the image (oops!). Having new thoughts with the AGWTWABOT again… I may well ressurect it again at some point, must remember to rebuild the emoties part of the site, that’s currently looking quite desperate from when I all but killed it off (oh dear).

 Anyhow, it’s Halo war tomorrow.

Oh dear, this will probably escape into the wild even though the site itself has not been ripped apart enuogh, heck there is no real link to this bit yet from anywhere else in the site.

Been a change of host, doing away with the ‘murphology’ name, as it turns out it is actually a real word but there is a feeling i need to consine it to history now. Been trying to organise the site in general, thought I would pull in my comic site to the main site and feel like I’ve all but completely killed it… maybe should consine that off to history too, don’t know yet… oh and now this takes over what was my livejournal.

At the moment I am looking at making the site for the most part wordpress based (seeing as it can do static pages), would probably make it a whole lot better to manage and pulling out seperate pages as and when needed. Just not really happy with the themes at the moment, so the whole style of the site could be WIP for a wee bit.

Started up a new section, 4 the fun of it, collections of ‘amusing’ pics and vids gaming related, the whole idea to simply keep the fun in gaming. Still need to write the about for that as well but anyone stopping by should get the basic idea of it as it stands.

Hope to contribute bits the that part myself too rather than just completely being a showcase for what other people have done (although if something is good it should be shown off right?), rececntly been trying to sort out a cheap ATI card for bits of vid capture, I tried sticking a camera in front of the TV, not the best way.
